Shield Yourself from the Dangers of the Void!

Energy shields - all five types with full stats, power balance effects and flux pin ballast. Strong vs missiles, useless vs lasers.

Shield Yourself from the Dangers of the Void!

Energy shield overview

In the vast emptiness of space, Energy Shields are your first line of defense against missiles and torpedoes. Every defensive system has its weaknesses, though - energy weapons can destroy them easily and lasers ignore them entirely.

Shield performance

Shield power and regeneration

Shield Power works like Hull Points but regenerates over time. Both Shield Power and Regeneration are affected by the ship's power level.

Ship power influence

A broken shield keeps regenerating at half rate until it comes back online.

Specific Power Shield stats

Advanced Power Shield2x2160087550010/s360°

The Rotating Arc Power Shield turns its arc towards the current threat (30°/s) and also follows the target you are aiming at.

Flux pins vs shields

Flux pin turrets fire superconducting pins that stick to an energy shield as dead ballast, weighing the ship down. The pins drop off the moment the shield breaks.

Tactical applications

Energy Shields excel in hit-and-run tactics - attack runs, disengagement maneuvers and brief skirmishes where mobility takes priority over sustained defense.

All values in this post can change in the future due to balancing.
